The genre of the music would be pop and soul, this is due to the beat throughout the song but also the contrast with the music playing over. The genre of the music video would be different due to the different camera angles which can make you think more of narrative drama. This music video reminds us of the Wizard of Oz due to the different characters that are portrayed. In the image above you can see them walking down a dusty train track which looks like an abandoned train station as if their on a questDescription: Macintosh HD:Users:student:Desktop:Screen Shot 2013-09-03 at 09.47.45.png
From the beginning scene of the music video you can see that the little boy is from an abusive family background, as the song continues you see the him run away and seek for help.As video carrys on the repetition of ‘Lalala’ gets stuck in your head. Our interpretation would be the young boy trying to block out all the bad things that have happened to him in the past and run away from them.

Olly Murs – Troublemaker.

The woman is making a fool of herself whilst trying to impress Olly, in this wide-angle shot she is surprised to see him and gets kicked out of the shop for breaking the mannequins. This shows us as a viewer that when you like someone you seem to muck up a lot and become very clumsy.

I need your love – Ellie Goulding and Calvin Harris.

The genre of the music video would be based on two people who like each other, in our opinion it is a couple who recently got together so they’re all loved up and acting as if nothing is wrong. In the music video you realise that they are hand holding a camera them selves. The different angles can portray to us that they both are at the same level of importance as each other. Katy Perry – Last Friday night.

This music video is mainly about teenagers and growing up, the genre of the music video would be teenagers. The different camera shots for example when shot reverse shot is used in the part when transforming her from a stereotypical geek to a ‘popular’. The shot below shows how stereotypical people can be mainly based on the class and status of a person. For instance in the images below it shows how the ‘popular’ boy of the party is judging her all because of how she looks then when she’s transformed you see how different he acts with her all because its based on looks and how he suddenly becomes drawn to her.

In the image above you see the picture of the man’s partner; which is then shortly followed by a pan of the camera upwards to see his ‘bit on the side’.  This music video would be known as cheating and thinking he can get away with it, the lighting on both parts of this scene in the video is quite dark and gloomy which can be referred back to someone doing a bad deed and ending up getting caught for it.

Katy Perry – Roar.

This clip show us that she’s stereotypically girlie to be where she is. This is mainly shown on the part when you see her reaction shot of the spider on her, this part you can see every girls stereotypical ‘fear’ over spiders.
